There are 50 recognized religious organizations on the Stanford campus, including a wide range of Christian groups, the Hillel Foundation, the Islamic Society, the Baha’i Association, Hinduism, Zoroastrianism and the Buddhist Community. Memorial Church, the spiritual home of religious life on campus, was one of the first interdenominational churches in the West and is still among the most prominent. The Office for Religious Life presumes that faith and spiritual quest are consonant with the academy’s most vital pursuits of meaning and purpose.
