Application Requirements

Overview

To apply to the University all applicants must submit the non-refundable $90 application fee or fee wavier. Applicants are also required to submit the Common Application, the Stanford Supplement to the Common Application, the SAT or ACT, official school reports from all schools attended, and instructor evaluation statements.

Home-Schooled Applicants

Home-schooled students comprise a small yet growing percentage of our applicant pool. Several home-schooled students are admitted and enroll at Stanford each year and while these applicants present some special challenges, our criteria for admission as well as our evaluation process remains unchanged.
