There is no magic formula for getting into college, but it is true that the more prepared you are by taking full advantage of the opportunities available to you in high school, by achieving at a high level all four years, and by consulting early on with your high school counselor, the more enjoyable and successful your college search and college experience will be.
The pages in this section are intended to provide helpful hints about preparing for college. The information about what you need to consider in Grades 11 and 12 is intentionally broad and general; the information about preparing for Stanford is more specific.
Keep in mind as you look at these pages that there are wonderful resources available to assist you with your college search. Surf the Internet, go to the library, and, above all, talk to your college counselor at your school.
