Programs For Area Children
- Cardinal Kids Club
- Children under 14 can join the Cardinal Kids Club to receive free general admission to numerous Stanford athletic events; notices of clinics conducted by Cardinal teams; and a free t-shirt and membership card.
- Cantor Arts Center
- The Cantor Arts Center offers tours and special classes for children and teens throughout the year.
- Hospital tours
- Stanford Hospital offers a limited number of tours for children in area schools. The tours, generally offered one Friday a month, include a visit to the emergency department, the kitchen, radiology and, if the Lifeflight nurses are free, a bonus trip to the roof to see Stanford's helicopter.
- Lively Arts
- Teachers who want students to learn about and participate in the arts can take advantage of student matinee performances with Lively Arts headliners and "informances," where artists come into the community to perform and talk about their careers. For information, call 725-1963.
- Summer youth camps
- Programs include a mathematics camp, jazz workshop and athletic opportunities for aspiring young swimmers, fencers and baseball players. Roughly 25 separate educational and athletic programs are offered during the summer months.
- Science-related programs
- The Stanford Office of Science Outreach lists a number of Stanford science programs for high school
students.
