Interests

Oral proficiency, Reading and Translation, Practical Communication for Adults, and Spanish for Medical Personnel

Current projects

Joan Molitoris received her PhD in Spanish Literature from Columbia University with a concentration in postwar Spanish poetry. At Stanford since 1999, she has taught a variety of language and culture classes and has coordinated the accelerated first-year and second-year cultural sequences. She is an ACTFL certified OPI tester in Spanish. Her 15 years of teaching experience also include specialized courses in Reading and Translation, Practical Communication for Adults, and Spanish for Medical Personnel. She is moderator of the monthly Spanish Book Group at Kepler’s Books and maintains an interest in the regional languages of Spain.
