Can I complete training in less than 2 hours?
No. The law states that the training must be at least 2 hours in length. The online course will track your time and there are optional materials to review if you complete the mandatory portion in under two hours. Live training sessions, when offered, will take 2 hours and you must stay for the duration.
Can I stop the online training and start up again another time?
Yes, this is the advantage of online training. You can stop and start anytime. However, you will need your ID and password to gain access to the LawRoom course each time.
Do I need to complete all parts of the online training?
Yes. You must complete all of the mandatory training modules. You do not need to complete all of the optional modules in the "SkillGarden" section. If you are reviewing optional material, the program will notify you when you have satisfied your two hour requirement.
What if I can’t find, or I deleted, the email from Lawroom that includes my ID, password and log-in information to register for the trainings?
Go to: http://el.lawroom.com/StanfordReg.asp. Click on "forgot ID/PW" button.
What if I'm having technical difficulty with the online program - whom do I contact?
Click on "TOOLS" and then "ASK" in the top right of the online program; or contact LawRoom directly at admin@lawroom.com or by calling 1-800-652-9546, extension 0 to leave a message.
Do I need to inform anyone that I've completed the online course or do you automatically generate a record of completion?
A record of completion will be automatically generated once you have finished the course. You do not need to contact the Sexual Harassment Policy Office, since we have access to your training records. You will receive notification of completion from LawRoom which you may wish to retain for your records.
Do I need to keep my training completion certificate from training when I finish?
Yes. In case there is any discrepancy in our records, it’s a good idea to keep this certificate.
I need special accomodations to complete the online training. Whom do I contact?
Contact the Sexual Harassment Policy Office in advance at: shpo-training@stanford.edu or (650) 725-0646.
