Andrea grew up in San Francisco where she learned to play tennis at the famous Golden Gate Park courts. While attending Lowell High School she was a nationally ranked junior player. Andrea played on the Stanford varsity team for four years, and was the number one player for three years. Andrea began teaching at SCRA shortly after graduation and has been here ever since. During her time at SCRA Andrea has continued to play USTA events. For two years she was the number one ranked women's 35 and over doubles player in the nation. She loves teaching all ages and abilities!
Most people have seen Billie Jean King, Martina Navratilova, Chris Evert and Monica Seles on TV. SCRA's Ann Henricksson has seen them all across the net. Ann cut her teeth in tennis playing in national tournaments as a junior and then attended UCLA where her team won the national collegiate title in 1981. As a player on the women's professional tour for 15 years, Ann competed in all the major tournaments and earned a gold medal for the US in the Pan American games. After "retiring" Ann was assistant tennis coach for Cal before joining us at SCRA in 1998. To conveniently reach Ann, email her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
