Quarterly Cleaning Checklist

For instructions on proper cleaning, refer to the Cleaning Guidelines. If you need more copies of the Cleaning Guidelines, call your Facilities Supervisor.

*All mildew and soap scum is removed from shower floors, walls, and ceilings.
*Shower curtains are clean or have been replaced.
*Toilets (bowls, seats, under toilet seats, chrome and toilet bases) are clean and odor-free.
*Urinals (inside, outside, under rim and chrome) are clean and odor-free.
*Doors, walls, tile and partitions are clean (e.g., free of dirt, markings, tape, flyers, etc.).
*Floors are clean.
*Sinks, faucets and mirrors are clean.
*Shelves and cubbies are clean.
*Paper products have been replenished and dispensers are clean.
*Soap dispensers have been rinsed out and refilled.Common Areas (lounges, TV rooms, study rooms, recreation rooms, lobbies, hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, computer clusters)
*Baseboards are clean.
*Floors (wood, tile, linoleum, carpet) have been cleaned (swept, vacuumed, mopped) as required.
*Dishes and silverware have been picked up and returned to kitchen.
*Cobwebs have been removed.
*Trash has been picked up; trash cans have been emptied into outside dumpster.
*Walls and doors are clean and free of flyers, tape, etc.
*Windows are clean.
*Furniture is clean and well-arranged.
*Fireplace is clean.
*Stairwells and banisters are clean.
*Laundry machines are clean.
*Water fountains are clean.Exterior (decks, patios, entries, stairwells, walkways, courtyards)
*Trash and debris have been picked up, including from inside bushes, and disposed of.
*Exterior phone has been wiped down.
*Cobwebs have been removed.
*Decks, patios, entries, stairwells, walkways and courtyards have been swept.Security
*Student storage areas and house property have been secured.
*Common area doors and windows have been secured.
