General Liability Insurance Beginning Autumn Quarter, 1995 all houses employing anyone not on Stanford University payroll (i.e. cooks, prep cooks, and hashers) are required to pay for General Liability Insurance. This will cover risk for any accident/incident involving your employee(s). In addition, the policy will include a bond against the Self-Ops Payroll and Benefits Administrators - The Stanford Eating Clubs AKA Toyon Eating Clubs. The Row Office is also recommending that co-ops purchase this same General Liability Insurance and in the future may require it. Private-title houses and student managed dining services must either purchase this University General Liability Insurance or show proof of insurance from another carrier to the Assistant Director for Student Management upon request. The cost for the 1999/2000 Academic Year will be set at $20.00 per resident, based on the maximum number of residents per house as defined by Housing Assignment Services (regardless of whether those spaces are occupied). Therefore, changes in house size and individual occupancy do not need to be recorded for General Liability purposes. This payment will be due to the Stanford Eating Clubs in the Fall Quarter only and will cover the full 1999/2000 Academic Year. The Stanford Eating Clubs will include this bill on the invoice given during the Fall. The Stanford Eating Clubs will then pass the payment on to Insurance/Risk Management. Please contact Nick Peters of the Stanford Eating Clubs (650-723-3103) for further information. The policies are as follows:
