Starting at Stanford
This is a short list of key tasks you must complete when you arrive.
- Get your SUID. Your SUID (Stanford identification number) was provided by your admissions office or department.
- Get your SUNet ID. Your SUNet ID (Stanford University
Network Identification) is your key to most all Stanford Administrative
systems. You probably already created your SUNet ID in order to accept your
offer of admission via Axess. To get your SUNet ID, visit the SUNet ID website
at: http://sunetid.stanford.edu/.
- Get your Stanford ID Card. New students are sent an application form for their Stanford ID Card prior to their first quarter of enrollment. Students who do not receive an application can download a copy or they can obtain their card at the Stanford Card Office after they arrive on campus.
- Review the Academic Calendar. To view the Academic Calendar, click on the “Calendar” Quicklink on the right.
- Discover Axess. Axess is the web-based administrative system used for most electronic transactions at Stanford including:
- Update your addresses, phone, email and emergency contact
