| Overview |
To assign undergraduate students to campus residences, Housing Assignments employs a process that includes three application rounds in the academic year:
|
| Round 1 |
The Draw takes place annually in May. Students applying for any quarter in the next academic year should apply by the Draw deadline. We encourage students to participate in the Draw to receive a first-round (random) Draw number and increase their chances of receiving their preferred housing. |
| Round 2 |
The Waitlist round occurs each quarter. In order to preserve your housing guarantee you must apply by the Waitlist deadline. |
| Round 3 |
Walk-ins take place after each Waitlist round and for the first 5 weeks of each quarter. |
When you participate in the Draw, a computer-based assignment program will try to place you into the first residence choice you’ve listed on your housing application. If your first choice of housing isn’t available, the assignment program will try to place you in your second residence choice, and so on. Students can apply in a group up to eight. Students with special housing needs may apply for pre-assignment and should read the Special Needs section before you begin the regular assignment process.
NOTE: You may review details about Eligibility and the housing guarantee. To receive more information on dates of assignment rounds and how to apply, review Application Process. |
