WALK-INS AND CONTINUOUS ASSIGNMENTS
If you remain unassigned after the Waiting List round, you may attend Walk-Ins (single students only) or join the Continuous Assignment list (for couples without children and students with children).
Summer Continuous Assignments will begin Friday, June 6 and continue every weekday through July 25. Couples and students with children who were not assigned in the Waiting List round will automatically be placed on the list of Continuous Assignments. There is no need to apply or to contact our office except to ask that your name be withdrawn from this list. Students who have not yet applied for Summer Housing or who have applied for a different category of Summer Housing are also welcome to add their name to the list. We will automatically contact the next person on the Continuous Assignment list as soon as we learn of a vacancy. Please make sure your contact information is current in Axess, or provide Housing Assignments with a telephone number and/or e-mail address at which to reach you. Students who are offered an assignment have two days to respond or the space will be offered to the next person on the list. Enrolled students will continue to have priority for assignment over nonenrolled students.
The summer Walk-In meetings for single graduate and undergraduate students will begin on Tuesday, June 10 and continue every weekday through July 25. Meetings are held at 10:00 a.m. in the Housing Assignments office (630 Serra St., Suite 110). We will also be conducting a Walk-in meeting at the Mirrielees Residential Education office on the opening day of residences, Saturday, June 21, from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. During these meetings, we will continue to assign vacancies as they occur. Single graduate and undergraduate students who did not receive an assignment in the Waiting List round will not automatically be considered at the Walk-in meetings. They must either attend the Walk-In meetings or designate a proxy to attend the meetings and act on their behalf. A proxy form can be submitted from our website. Housing Assignments can act as proxy for students. Enrolled students will continue to have priority for assignment over nonenrolled students.
