Cardinal Dollars are added to your Stanford ID card and can be used in any of our 17 dining locations across campus. Cardinal Dollars can be used to purchase meals in any all-you-care-to-eat Stanford Dining Hall including Branner Dining, Florence Moore Dining, Lakeside Dining, Manzanita Dining, Ricker Dining, Stern Dining, Toyon dining, Wilbur Dining, and Latenite at Lakeside, and Latenite at Stern.

Cardinal Dollars are also accepted at Stanford Hospitality & Auxiliaries Retail Cafés, which include The Axe and Palm at Old Union, Subway, Express Lunch/Peet's Coffee, and Union Square at Tresidder Memorial Union; Olives@ Bldg.160; and The Cafe at the Alumni Center.

Students may purchase Cardinal Dollars online one of two ways:

Staff and faculty may purchase Cardinal Dollars online:

Students, staff and faculty can also purchase Cardinal Dollars in person by visiting the Meal Plan Customer Service Office on the 2nd floor of Tresidder Memorial Union, Suite 5 (off the Meeting Services lobby) Monday - Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm.

1. Meal Plan Dollars provided as part of a meal plan must be used within each quarter.

2. Cardinal Dollars that are purchased separately or in addition to a meal plan carry over from quarter to quarter, and from year to year. Cardinal Dollars do not expire unless they have been used.
