If you have problems accessing a web form, please read the instructions below.

SUNet ID: The off-campus housing forms may require you to enter your SUNet ID (Leland account and password). Your SUNet ID is used to verify your identity and is recognized by the University as an official signature. You may be prompted to use Weblogin to enter your SUNet ID, unless you are already using a specific security software such as MacLeland or PC-Leland. If you do not currently have a SUNet ID, you can establish one by completing the information on this page.

Troubleshooting Steps: Here are steps to take if you experience difficulty accessing one of our web forms:

  1. Use a Netscape browser. Some versions of Internet Explorer may not be compatible with the web authentication system that Stanford uses.
  2. Make sure that your browser preferences are set to accept "cookies." Stanford's web authentication system uses a cookie to authenticate you. If you have set your web browser to refuse cookies, you will not be able to submit a web form; you should (at least temporarily) change your browser to accept cookies before entering your SUNet ID.
  3. Make sure that you are entering your SUNet ID and password, NOT your Student ID Number and PIN. Your SUNet ID is usually similar to your e-mail address.
  4. If all of the previous items are now correct, clear the cache on your browser. Error message pages are sometimes cached and will keep redisplaying until you clear the cache, even if the error has now been corrected. Depending on how your preferences are set, you may need to quit your browser and then relaunch it in order to clear the cache or click on the clear cache button in your preferences menu.
  5. Some companies have firewalls that block the use of outside web forms. If you are trying to access a web form from an off-campus work site, this may be the cause of the problem. If so, follow the instructions in #6 below.
  6. If you still cannot access the web form, go to the Community Housing office at 630 Serra Street #110 and use one of the computers in our lobby to submit your form. If you don't live in the Stanford area at this time, contact us to fax a paper version of the web form to you.

Web Server Down: If our web server is down, please notify us at (650) 723-3906 or at subsidizedhousing@stanford.edu.
