LISTING SERVICE:
The Community Housing office accepts rental listings from people in the Stanford Community, which current and incoming Stanford affiliates can access through this website. Stanford affiliates with SUNet IDs can access the rental listings though the Rental Listings pages. Incoming Stanford affiliates who do not yet have SUNet IDs will need to request a temporary user name and password. STANFORD'S ON-CAMPUS GRADUATE HOUSING SUBLEASE DATABASE:
Student Housing has created a sublease database to make it easier for graduate students to find sublease tenants for one academic term per year, with certain restrictions. Stanford students living in graduate housing may post a listing for their space in graduate housing, including Oak Creek and Stanford West. Stanford (non-undergraduate) affiliates who are looking for a short-term room or apartment for the may view the sublease listings. During the academic year, only students taking a vacation quarter or a one-quarter leave of absence may sublet their spaces in graduate housing. During autumn term, only enrolled matriculated graduate students may take an on-campus student housing sublet.
SUMMER HOUSING FOR NON-STUDENT STANFORD AFFILIATES:
From June 20th through August 21st, non-student summer visitors can live on campus and just off campus near the medical center through a Stanford Conferences program which is administered through the Community Housing office. Housing available includes studio and 1-bedroom apartments at Escondido Village, private rooms in shared apartments at Rains, Lyman, and Oak Creek, and full apartments at Oak Creek and Rains. SHORT-TERM HOUSING AVAILABLE FOR GRAD STUDENTS AUGUST 11th to SEPTEMBER 10th:
If you are a Stanford graduate student and plan to arrive at Stanford before school begins, you may stay in Wilbur Hall for a reasonable nightly fee. This housing is for students arriving early in order to look for housing, attend a pre-autumn required academic program, or simply arriving before their on-campus housing is available for occupancy can stay in Stanford's short-term housing set up especially for this purpose. The rooms are traditional dormitory rooms, and both private and shared rooms are available. Information on nightly rates and an application are available online.
