Short Term Housing

Several types of temporary accommodations are available to Stanford students, faculty, staff, and visiting scholars and researchers while they search for community housing.

Stanford Conferences. From late June until late August, Stanford provides temporary accommodations within student housing for Stanford affiliates who are not eligible for regular student housing, at a (higher) non-student rate. From August 11 to September 10 there is also short-term housing specifically for graduate students who are waiting to get into their academic year housing assignments or who are looking for housing off campus.

Reservations for the graduate student short term housing are required. This housing will be in Wilbur Hall and very probably in another dormitory location as well (due to increased space need this year). A refundable key deposit is required. Payment may be made by cash, check (written in U.S. dollars and payable through a U.S. bank), traveller's check, or credit card (Visa/Mastercard). Guest Rooms. No guest rooms are available at this time.

Local Hotels and Motels. Many hotels, motels, and bed and breakfast inns are located near Stanford. Reservations are strongly recommended. Some establishments offer reduced rates to Stanford affiliates; ask when you contact them.
