You must attend one of these orientation sessions before an Oak Creek ID card will be issued (used to access gym, pool, etc., and required for every Oak Creek event). Important Oak Creek InformationLaundry rooms are located on the 4th floor of each building. The cost is $3.00/load ($1.50 to wash, $1.50 to dry). You can purchase a laundry card and load money onto it on the Eucalyptus Room. The cost for a laundry card is $5.00. Laundry hours are posted in the laundry rooms. Lock-outs You may also contact the Housing Emergency Maintenance Hotline at 725-1602 to request lockout assistance from the Housing Access Response Team (H.A.R.T). Please be aware that since the HART team is dispatched from the Stanford campus there will be a time delay in HART’s response to the lockout. The fee for lockout assistance from HART is $75. Internet ConnectionStanford provides internet service through Comcast. Students may need to purchase their own Ethernet cables to use wired internet connections in their apartment. If you encounter an issue with your internet connection, you should contact the Comcast National Support Center at 866-511-6489. Select option #3, then option #2 for Teleworker service. This is the number for Comcast’s National Accounts Support Maintenance/Repair and is available 24x7x365. Teleworker service support personnel are well equipped to assist you with any issues you may be having and/or troubleshoot the problem to resolution. Tip: Before calling for tech assistance, first try powering down the modem and try connecting again, as many issues can easily be resolved in this manner. If the problem is determined to be with the wireless router, please contact Housing Assignments at 650-725-2810, as the routers were supplied by R&DE Student Housing. Parking and TransportationOak Creek has ample uncovered, unreserved parking available on a first come, first served basis. Each apartment comes with one reserved parking space in the building’s garage. Permits for these spaces can be picked up from the Governor’s Corner Housing Front Desk. Important: Please be sure that you are parking in the space noted on the Oak Creek information sheet you received at check-in to avoid having your vehicle towed. If you can't locate your apartment parking space information, please contact the GovCo Housing Front Desk. All vehicles parked on Oak Creek premises are required to have a permit. These permits can be picked up from the Governor's Corner Housing Front Desk if you did not receive one upon check in. The Marguerite Shuttl [6]e - SLAC line stops at the intersection of Sand Hill and Stock Farm Roads and runs Monday-Friday from 8 am - 9 pm. In addition, there is a new service (OCA Evening Express [7]) that will run between Oak Creek Apartments and Tresidder from 9 pm - midnight, 7 nights a week. Updates from Housing AssignmentsHousing Assignments has moved! Housing Assignments is now located in the Galvez Modular (482 Galvez Mall, Suite 110). Leaving for Spring Quarter? Not planning to Enroll Spring Quarter? Undergraduates sign Residence Agreements for the entire academic year. Only students who terminate their enrollment or enroll in a Stanford program away from campus (i.e., Stanford Overseas Studies, Stanford in Washington, or Hopkins Marine Station) are released from their housing contracts. Students who move off campus while still enrolled will be held liable for housing charges for the entire academic year. You can apply to cancel your housing agreement and read more information about this process through the R&DE Portal in Axess. If you terminate your undergraduate contract at the end of Spring Quarter, you must move out by noon on Saturday, March 23rd. Deadlines and Fees for filing a termination notice for the end of Spring Quarter 2013: Oak Creek Specific Information: Students wishing to move to the main campus can submit a reassignment request form through the R&DE Portal in Axess. Oak Creek residents will be reassigned as space becomes available after demand from un-housed students has been met. The reassignment administrative charge is waived for Oak Creek residents moving onto campus. |

Bedbugs have been found in five-star hotels, college residence halls, hospitals, and virtually all other types of housing throughout the United States. Though bedbugs are very rare at Stanford, and we have had only a few isolated cases in recent years, we need your assistance to avert and contain future cases.
