When you move, remember that your castoffs may be another person’s found treasure. In addition to providing your castoffs with second lives to people who need them, donated items are diverted from landfills.

At the End of Spring Quarter
|
|
Student Housing and local charitable organizations have set up donation sites throughout the residence system to make it easy for you to donate clothing, bikes, electronic equipment, and household items that are in good condition.
As you begin to pack and plan your move-out, set aside items that you wish to donate. During Spring Quarter, Student Housing posts and emails information on donation site locations and hours.
For information on this year’s donation sites and other helpful tips on recycling and disposing of items, please visit the Green Move Out page.

At Other Times of the Year

If you move out during other academic terms, check the websites of the organizations listed below for information on how to donate items. These organizations have nearby drop-off locations, and some will pick up furniture and other large items.
