The Hawthorne Apartments are available as a full-year option for single graduate and couples without children students. Single graduate students are assigned to two bedroom units. Couples without Children are assigned to one bedroom units. Both options are furnished by the University.  

Hawthorne Apartments is 96 unit complex was built in the 1970’s and is located on a quiet tree lined street, three blocks from Downtown Palo Alto. They have a swimming pool, assigned covered parking and laundry facilities. Furnished by the University, each two bedroom apartment houses two students while each one bedroom apartment houses one couple without children.

Stanford provides wireless DSL and utilities. Stanford does not provide cable television, telephone, or cost of laundry.

If you are assigned to Hawthorne Apartments and are interested in housing on campus, please file a reassignment request. The reassignment request form can be found within the R&DE section of Axess under the tab 'Forms and Petitions'. There is no fee to be reassigned to on-campus housing.

Sublicensing is not permitted within off-campus subsidized apartments.
