SUPERVISES:
Dining Ambassadors (DAs) are paid student positions, who help to build and promote student community in the dining halls. DAs help to create a vibrant and active student dining community for the residents by promoting wellness, healthy eating, sustainability, residential life through community building activities and educational experiences, while being part of a team proudly serving great
food. DAs will promote stewardship, understand and communicate university policies, be a point of contact and promote events and activities in the dining halls. DAs are residents of their local dining community and work directly with the dining hall staff to foster respectful, two way communications.
Top 3 Priorities:

1. Have a great attitude.
• DAs act on behalf of Stanford Dining. It isn’t about your personal business, it’s about building a vibrant community in the dining halls and how you can help other students connect during meals.
• Be positive, respectful, have fun, stay upbeat and care for others.

2. Be there.
• DAs attend as many events and functions as they can throughout the year, including combined DA meetings.

3. Follow through.
• When you commit to being a DA, people are counting on you.
• When you commit to delivering information or representing Stanford Dining and the student residents, people are counting on you.
• When you learn about other student interests you need to share the information with the dining hall staff so they can become more aware and respond.

The Head Dining Ambassador is a returning DA who is typically an upper class student. There is currently one Head Dining Ambassador position.
