Individual Summer Housing 2013

Although Stanford Conferences’ main focus is on residential conferences and camps, Stanford Conferences also offers housing for non-student individuals that will be at Stanford over the summer but will not be attending a housed conference. Housing is also available for Stanford graduate students who need temporary housing at the end of the summer.

Housing for Non-Student Summer Visitors is available from June 22 through August 18, 2013

For non-student summer visitors, Stanford Conferences offers studio apartments, 1-bedroom apartments, 2-bedroom family apartments, and private rooms in shared 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom apartments on a space available basis for eligible 2013 non-student summer campus visitors (age 18 and over). The housing is located on campus within our graduate housing apartment communities and at an apartment complex at the western edge of the Stanford campus on Sand Hill Road. There is a 14-night minimum stay and there is limited housing available for guests under the age of 21. A $35 application processing fee and a signed liability waiver will be collected at check-in.

Non-Student Summer Campus Visitors Eligible for this Housing Include:

  • Individuals attending an un-housed conference or workshop

  • Individuals studying, working, or interning on campus for the summer

  • Individuals conducting research with Stanford faculty in an official capacity

  • Individuals doing medical clerkships at Stanford

  • Stanford faculty and staff needing temporary accommodations close to work

  • Parents of children attending camps on the Stanford campus

  • Parents accompanying teenage minor children who will be interning or conducting research at Stanford and who will be staying and supervising the minor for the entire length of the minor's stay (in a family apartment)

Non-Student Summer Visitors NOT Eligible for this Housing Include:

  • Matriculated Stanford students

  • Individuals who will not be 18 years old by the intended date of arrival and who will not be accompanied by a supervising parent for the entire length of the stay

  • Individuals with families of more than four people

  • Individuals needing housing for fewer than 14 nights

  • Family members of non-minor summer visitors who wish to have separate accommodations

  • Individuals with no current formal affiliation with the University

Please be aware that this housing does not offer all of the amenities of a hotel.

Smoking is not allowed in any building or within 20 feet of any building entrance.

No pets are allowed.

No long-term guests are allowed.

 

 

Housing for Stanford Graduate Students Needing Short-Term Housing is Available from August 13 Through September 12, 2013

Housing is available at the end of summer quarter for graduate students needing to arrive on campus before their on-campus room is available for move-in, or as a place to stay while looking for housing off-campus through the Community Housing office. This housing is in an undergraduate residence hall.
