Ferzana Havewala left IR&DS and Stanford in late September to move to Texas with her husband. She will be pursuing a doctorate while her husband begins his dream job. We wish her the best as she pursues further education! Anyone who previously worked with Ferzana should contact Jenny Bergeron (jbergero@stanford.edu) with any needs going forward.

Kathryn Potts joined IR&DS as a half-time Research Analyst in IR&DS on September 1, taking the place of Missy Damon, who left the office in May to take on the challenge of being a full-time mom. Kathryn will be producing both as-needed analyses and yearly IR reports such as the Department Profiles and Statistics Books. She is also a Lecturer in Stanford’s Linguistics Department, teaching one course per quarter. (more…)
Lillian Lee has been serving as a replacement for Missy Damon during Missy’s maternity leave. Lillian has done a great job of filling in for Missy, applying her experience and smarts to a number of projects. Thanks, Lillian! Lillian will now move on to her next challenge. We are happy to report that Lillian will stay on as Anita Craig’s replacement at 50% time as of February 23, 2009. Missy Damon will return from maternity leave on January 20, 2009.
We are sorry to report that Anita Craig will not be returning to IR&DS. Although she is doing well, her current state of health will not allow her to return to work for the foreseeable future. Lillian Lee will assume her responsibilities.
