POST DOCTORAL POSITION IN EXPERIMENTAL PARTICLE ASTROPHYSICS

The Experimental Particle Astrophysics Group at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory
(LLNL) has an opening for a Postdoctoral research associate to take a leading role in a major
upgrade for a dark-matter axion search. The successful candidate will possess a recent Ph.D
and experience in low-noise electronics, spectral estimation, or cryogenic systems. There are
also opportunities to participate in other activities, including the Large-Aperture Synoptic
Survey Telescope (LSST), searches for exotic positronium decays, a next-generation neutrino
oscillation experiment, as well as developing advanced instrumentation for particle detection.
The initial appointment is for one year, with the possibility of yearly extensions to a maximum
