Stanford University Faculty Position

Condensed Matter Theory

 

 

The Stanford Physics Department is seeking candidates to fill a tenure-track assistant professor faculty position in condensed matter theory. (Extraordinary applicants at the associate professor level will also be considered.)  We are looking for candidates with both significant accomplishments and promise of future achievements who will lead outstanding and innovative research efforts.  Applicants with research focus in any branch of condensed matter physics will be considered.  Applicants should also be, or show promise of becoming, excellent teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels. The term of appointment will begin on or around September 1, 2008, depending on the circumstances of the successful applicant.
