BeWell @ Stanford, Recreation Style


Hey New Students! Come on out and sample some recreational opportunities offered by Physical Education, Recreation and Wellness. We'll have Dodgeball in the Erickson Courts, 3v3 Basketball in the Ford Center, Climbing opportunities on the Rock Wall, and golf balls to drive at the Range (clubs available as well).

Sand Volleyball TournamentFreshmen Fitness Challenge
Date: Sunday, September 23 - Saturday, October 6

Get stepping! The Freshmen Fitness Challenge is a contest among Freshmen dorms to see which dorm can be the most active over the course of 2 weeks. Pedometer's and logsheets will be provided by the RA's, and prizes include 49er tickets, an iPhone, iPod, Championship T-shirts, on-field recognition at Stanford/TCU Homecoming Football game, and much more!

Block SCardinal Fitness Challenge
Date: September 25 - November 19

Welcome back!  Start the academic year off right and participate in the Fall Cardinal Fitness Challenge.  Participants will chart their workouts throughout the course of the challenge and those who complete it by the closing day will be entered in a drawing for personalized fitness testing at the Stanford Sports Medicine Human Performance Lab located in Arrillaga Center for Sports & Recreation.

Greater Bay Area Golf Tournament - Win a trip to Las Vegas to compete in the National Tournament!

A 2-person scramble event for recreational golfers!
This annual tournament serves as a National Collegiate Golf Championships Local Qualifier. Tournament winners qualify for a FREE ENTRY to advance to the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP, November 9th – 11th in Las Vegas!!

Date: Friday October 12, 1 p.m. Shotgun Start
Location: Santa Clara Golf and Tennis Club (a neutral site)
Cost: Students: $45, Faculty/Staff: $60, Alum/Community: $75
Entry Fee includes cart, greens fees, warm-up balls at the range, lunch and tournament prizes; ultimately a chance to advance to the National Tournament (a prize package valued at $750)

Register: Stop by the IM office during the Fall Quarter Registration period, or during regular business hours thereafter.

This one-day selection tournament will determine which team(s) will be invited to attend the Regional West Flag Football Tournament held at Arizona State University, November 16 – 18, as the University’s representative(s) to compete against other schools in the region (WA, OR, CA, AZ, NZ, UT, ID, HI).

Golf
Come out and particpate in our inagural Indoor Soccer event. The first twenty teams to register will receive TICKETS to the Stanford Women's final home game versus Washington State on Sunday, November 4 at 12 p.m.
