Athletic training is practiced by athletic trainers, health care professionals who collaborate with physicians to optimize activity and participation of patients. Athletic training encompasses injury/illness prevention, clinical evaluation, emergency care, and treatment and rehabilitation of acute/chronic medical conditions. Now, athletic training is available for Club Sports Athletes!
Athletic Training Services will function to protect the health of, and provide a safe environment for, Stanford University students participating in club sports. The mission of the Athletic Training Services is to prevent, manage, and rehabilitate athletic injuries. In addition, the goal is to help club sport athletes to return to play in a safe manner and as soon as possible.
(These hours are subject to change as needed to accommodate Club Sport Athletes.)

The Club Sports Athletic Trainer may be hired to cover home or away events for Club Sports Teams. If your team would like to request athletic training services (i.e. protective taping, stretching, immediate and emergency care, etc…) for a practice, game or other event, you may hire the Club Sports Athletic Trainer by completing the Request for Coverage Form. This form must be submitted 2 weeks before the event. There will be a fee charged by the athletic trainer. In the event that the Club Sports Athletic Trainer is unavailable or unable to honor a team’s request, another athletic trainer may assist in providing coverage and the same fees will apply.
