OPERA’S COMEBACK

After a decade of absence, opera returned to Stanford in an opulent production of Henry Purcell's baroque Dido and Aeneas.

The production, which marked the culmination of the Music Department's year-long celebration of its 50th anniversary, was directed by Jennifer Lane, senior lecturer in voice and a mezzo-soprano on the international circuit, and conducted by J. Karla Lemon, associate professor and director of orchestras.
