Jesse Jackson will discuss racial injustice and anti-Asian violence beginning at 3 p.m. Wednesday, May 20 in Stanford University's Memorial Auditorium, as part of Asian-Pacific Heritage Month. The prominent civil rights leader will focus on the needs of America's African American, Asian and Latino communities, paying particular attention to anti-Asian attitudes and violence in the wake of the Rodney King verdict. Jackson's free public speech is sponsored by the Jesse Jackson Program Committee, the Associated Students of Stanford University and a variety of student groups and administrative offices.
