Department News

Great news this week...

  • First, congratulations to Inbal Arnon, who has been offered and has recently accepted the position of Lecturer (= Assistant Professor) at the University of Manchester, where she will join distinguished alumni Martina Faller and Andrew Koontz-Garboden. This is a great opportunity in a great linguistic environment. Yay, Inbal!
  • In addition, Lauren Hall-Lew has just accepted a fabulous two-year Andrew W. Mellon postdoc for research and teaching at Oxford University. The post is a joint appointment between the Faculty of English and the Faculty of Linguistics, Philology and Phonetics, where she'll join Mary Dalrymple, another distinguished alum. Woo Hoo!
  • [Sesquipedexcitement all around! ..... But wait.... there's more!]

  • The results of the Spring 2008-09 GRO awards have been determined. Congratulations to Anubha Kothari, who was just given a GRO Award to support her dissertation research project. Nice going, Anubha!
  • Furthermore, Fabio del Prete has received a postdoc research appointment from the Jean Nicod Institute in Paris for this coming year.
