Grading in all courses in the Cultural Emphasis and International
Relations tracks will take into account the factors listed below.
- Class participation: 17%
- Homework/Class Preparation 7%
- Attendance 10%
- Interpersonal component: 20%
- Final interview with instructor/SOPI 10%
- Work with native conversation partners, key pals, newsgroups,
listserves 10%
- Interpretive Component: 20%
- Reading and listening assignments: analyses, summaries etc. 10%
- Self-directed interpretive portfolio assignments (reading and
listening)10%
- Presentational Component: 20%
- Oral presentations (2) 10%
- Compositions 10%
- Evaluation/Research: 23%
- Self-Evaluation, Progress Card 3%
- Midterm/Project 10%
- Final Exam/Term Paper 10%
