Writing and Composition Workshop for Heritage Language Students (SPANLANG 102B) is a Writing in the Major (WIM) course designed for home-background speakers with a good understanding of written accents, spelling, and syntax. In this course, we focus on the craft of writing, including brainstorming, planning, outlining, drafting, revising, and editing. Spanish majors write mostly on literary topics, while non-majors may choose to explore topics relevant to their respective academic specialties. Spanish 102B is offered each fall and may be taken concurrently with other courses in the major, so that this course acts as a workshop for writing to be completed for the concurrent Spanish course. Spanish 102B is offered yearly in the fall quarter. For further information, contact Ali Miano at alimiano@stanford.edu.
