Program Schedule
The Orientation program provides an overview of the Fulbright goals and traditions and aims at instilling a Fulbright identity among FLTAs. It introduces FLTAs to the role of all agencies and institutions involved and the resources they provide. FLTAs are introduced to information and insights necessary for them to ease their transition into the US academic culture and adjust to different educational norms and practices. The program includes speakers with a variety of backgrounds including Education, Foreign Language Education, Cross Cultural Communication, Technology & Media, and Area Studies.

Program Events
Thursday, August 27 - Optional Campus Walking Tour
Since many of you will be arriving early in the day, we thought you might be interested in going on a walking tour of campus. We will organize an optional walking tour for those interested. Time and location to be determined.
Friday, August 28 - Tour of San Francisco
12:30 p.m. - [TENTATIVE] After your morning sessions and a quick lunch at Florence Moore Hall (also known as FloMo), we will be taking you on fun-filled, action-packed trip to San Francisco! Among other things, we will visit the Civic Center, San Francisco's famous China Town, the Italian neighborhood of North Beach, beautiful Golden Gate Park, Fisherman's Wharf and the architectural marvel that is the Golden Gate Bridge. The bus will pick everyone up at the House at exactly 12:30, so please be punctual. For your convenience, dinner will be delivered to the House in the evening after the tour.

Sunday, August 30 - Farewell Reception
6:30 p.m. - We'd like to send you off with a nice celebration, so we have planned a garden party at the Stanford Golf Course. Dinner and drinks will be served and all FLTAs, guest speakers and orientation staff are invited. Location: TBD
