"Introduction to American Law" and "Professional Responsibility"
Please review the attached memo for more information on these courses, which are required for all LLMs and suggested for JSM/SPILs students. The first session of "Professional Responsibility" will meet on Friday, August 31 at 9 am and "Introduction to American Law" will begin at 9 am on Tuesday, Sept. 4. All LLMs are required to attend all sessions of both "Professional Responsibility" and "Introduction to American Law." Both classes end on Friday, Sept. 21. Classes will begin promptly at 9 am.
"Professional Responsibility" will be taught by Professor Larry Marshall, Associate Dean for Clinical Education. His bio can be viewed here. "Introduction to American Law" will be taught by Beth McLellan with Stanford Law Faculty and local practitioners participating as guest lecturers on various topics.
JSM/SPILS students interested in either or both courses should contact their teaching fellow, Sergio Puig.
Orientation activities begin with a dinner on Wednesday, Aug. 29 and continue through the afternoon of Friday, Aug. 31.
