Project Info
The Stanford Web Authentication (WebAuth) for Windows IIS project was formed to fulfill a cross-platform compatibility target and to extend the enterprise authentication system into the Windows web application arena. The project is to extend the base existing WebAuth protocol for use on a Windows IIS server.
Scope
The project targets are very specific. The first (and currently the only approved) phase of this project is to deliver a native Windows IIS module that does the core WebAuth authentication interaction.
No LDAP integration is being targeted - it is assumed that Active Directory can be used to fulfill those needs.
The base platform target is IIS 6.x running on Windows Server 2003.
