Guided Tour of Basic Features and Functionality
Overview
This Guided Tour is intended to give you a "first look" at basic features and functionality of the new Stanford Training and Registration System (STARS.) STARS will replace the PRISM Training Registration System and will be the system of record for compliance and other required training for faculty, staff, students and visitors. The Tour is not intended as training for the new system but will give you a general idea of how the new system will function. Detailed training, documentation and job aids will follow at a later date. For additional background information about STARS and what it might do for you, please visit the STARS Project website.

Tour Features
The features and functionality demonstrated in this Tour include:
- The Learning Home
The Learning Home functions as your "homepage" in STARS. From your Learning Home, you have access to a number of different features and functions. - Finding Activities and Programs
Classes are referred to as activities in STARS. We'll show you two methods for finding activities and programs in STARS. - Enrolling in Activities
- Learning History
- Add Supplemental Learning
After you've found an activity, we'll show you what the enrollment process looks like.
This page provides you with a complete list of all of the learning you have completed.
Supplemental learning is learning that is not listed in the STARS catalog (e.g., a conference, on-the-job training, etc.) This page allows you to report and track those types of activities.
