Kronos Version 5 Upgrade

Kronos Desktop Requirements

Kronos version 5 is a web-based application, so your desktop must have an Internet browser. For PCs, Internet Explorer 6.0 or greater is recommended. For Macs, Safari is the only browser that will work with Kronos v5.

Java

A one-time Java download is required for PCs to use the new version of Kronos. The download that takes about 1-2 minutes to run. Java version 1.4.2_06 is required and is compatible with Oracle Financials and ReportMart 3. For Macs, Java is also required but may not need to be downloaded depending on your operating system version. Download Java for Kronos v5 (includes instructions).

Browser Requirements

Confirm your platform and browser will work with the new version of Kronos. Be sure to use the Axess browser compatibility test, which has been updated for Kronos v5; if there is any incompatibility detected, please contact your local desktop support person to resolve the issue.

Note: Because Kronos version 5 is a web-based application, Citrix is not required for Kronos Administrators who use Macs.
