Oracle Financials—Successfully deploy post Go-Live functionality and enhancements planned for FY04
Desktop/network security @ Stanford—develop plan to address security risks
- Implement security model that proactively scans for and patches vulnerable systems
- Develop service offering to provide firewall service to schools and departments
Quality of Service—move from management by anecdote to management by facts
- Create metrics to measure performance of our business Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and incorporate into Business Affair's Performance Dashboard.
- The Total Economic Impact (TEI) process will be conducted on all projects as of October 2003 and a portfolio management tool will be implemented by February 2004.
- Implement outsourcing and server rationalization in order to achieve targeted budget savings for FY05.
Client Driven IT—align services and organization to client needs
- Conduct a joint client survey with MIT University and analyze results by January 2004. Implement three initiatives that create service alignment with client needs based on this by August 2004.
- Conduct three focus group meetings by January 2004 with our clients and based on feedback develop service packages tailored to their needs.
Organizational development—drive cultural and behavior change into the organization
- Define roles and responsibilities and review classifications for all ITSS employees by January 2004. Identify and discuss with each employee future competencies for IT and then incorporate plan in each employee's development plan.
- Prepare and conduct the second Employee Survey by May 2004
- Develop an IT competency model for Stanford
Technology Leadership—create the vision
- Create technology strategy—complete technology strategy document by January 2004
- Create vision for IT 2008—complete vision document for IT in 2008
