Media Services
What We Do
Media Services is comprised of two divisions: CATV Services and Streaming Media. CATV Services is responsible for the capacity planning, management, and implementation of the Stanford CATV and streaming media services including Tier 2 maintenance. The CATV systems provide instructional and entertainment programming to student residences, hospital patients, Stanford West housing, SLAC Hotel, and academic buildings. CATV Services also provides satellite downlinks and point-to-point A/V services. Streaming Media services provides a centralized streaming service for members of the Stanford community. This service includes web casting, encoding, indexing, authoring, and hosting of content in support of teaching, learning, and research.
