INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SERVICES

Strategic Plan

The President and the Provost charged the Committee on Academic Computing and Information Systems (C-ACIS) with coordinating a strategic information technology (IT) plan for Stanford.

As a result of discussion in C-ACIS during 2006, Randy Livingston, Vice President for Business Affairs and Stanford’s CFO, committed to the delivery of three-year strategic plans for IT Services and Administrative Systems. The Systems Governance Group (SGG) then undertook a strategic planning exercise to provide formal input from the perspective of the business community.

IT Services’ Strategic Plan is a step in the evolution of a campus IT plan. Our plan looks three-to-five years into the future to anticipate the IT needs of the University.

The Project Roadmap outlines efforts currently underway toward fulfilling the goals of the Strategic Plan.
