Making a Gift
A gift in support of our activities at Stanford will enhance genuine understanding of the histories, cultures, and languages of Islam and Muslim societies. Your donation will support our general operations. We are also seeking funds to endow a Professorship in Turkish Studies and a Turkish Language & Literature Lectureship at Stanford University. Should you like to designate your gift to support specific projects (such as endowed professorships, visiting professorships, postdoctoral or graduate student fellowships, an endowed lecture series, and language instruction and programs), please contact us.
Please review the current giving opportunities. Your contribution may take the form of an expendable gift, annual pledge, or endowment. Endowment gifts provide naming opportunities for specific programs and may be matched.
You can make a secure credit card gift via the Stanford Giving website (http://givingtostanford.stanford.edu).
1) In the scroll down menu, please direct your gift to School of Humanities and Sciences.
2) In the next step, select Dept or Program and specify the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies in the special instruction/designation field below.
You can also mail your contribution to our office (The Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies, Stanford University, 417 Galvez Mall, Encina Hall West, Rm. 214, Stanford, California 94305-6045). Checks should be made payable to “Stanford University.”
Your gift is tax-deductible under applicable rules. As a unit of Stanford University, the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies qualifies for tax-exempt status under Section 501 (c)(3).
