Drama/CSRE 17N/ DocuDrama 3units This course provides an introduction to "Docu-drama" as a form of dramatic writing, which provides a social critique of current or historical events through creative documentation and dramatization. spring 2009 CSRE 179G/ Indigenous Identity in Diaspora--People of Color Art Practice in North America Instructor: Cherrie Moraga 5 units (This course fulfills CSRE IDA Core Course Requirement) This is a core CSRE course in the Identities, Diversity and Aesthetics (IDA) Track. CSRE majors who wish to emphasize in IDA must take 179G as one of two core core CSRE requirements. With special emphasis on performance and literary art, this seminar serves as a critical and creative gateway to the IDA emphasis for emerging artist-scholars. The course offers a 21st century examination of people of color aesthetics; drawing from contemporary works in conversation with their native origins.
