APPLY TO BE A

2005-06 IDA STUDENT FELLOW
IDA Fellows Application

Contribute to the artistic vision of the Institute for Diversity in the Arts through a fellowship with IDA. Participate in arts workshops and as staff. Four students will be selected as IDA Student Fellows and play a coordinating role in next year's program. Next year, IDA will be looking to work more directly with community partners.

DEADLINE
Wednesday, May 18, 2005

Stanford students have an instrumental role in the development of the Institute for Diversity in the Arts. In Spring quarter we will distribute an application to apply for the Student Fellow positions for the following academic year. At that time, next year’s artist faculty will have been determined. Students will be chosen to help staff the Institute, conduct student outreach and enrollment for artist residencies, and serve as teaching assistants to one of the Winter Quarter Artists in Residence. The student fellows will have the opportunity to develop artistic work with their corresponding artists in residence.

Student Fellows must have some experience in organizing or participating in community service, proficiency in the discipline of the artist they are interested in working with, and available time in their schedule to actively participate in the development of the artist residencies and related artistic productions. A stipend through the Institute for Diversity In the Arts is offered to each Student Fellow selected.

Enrollment in a previous IDA workshop is recommended, though not required.

The Institute for Diversity in the Arts is sponsored by the Stanford University School of Humanities and Sciences in collaboration with the Stanford Drama Department and Committee on Black Performing Arts.
