CPT CANNOT BE AUTHORIZED FOR SAME PERIOD AS OPT PREVIOUSLY REQUESTED

Students who have applied for pre-completion optional practical training must understand that they have committed themselves to this course of action. Therefore I-Center advisors will not process requests for curricular practical training for for students who have already requested optional practical training for the same period of time. USCIS could interpret this sort of "double processing" as facilitating employment which is an inappropriate and possibly illegal authorization of practical training.
