Overview
The German Bundestag Internship Program (IPS) provides the opportunity for graduates to learn first-hand about German politics by working in the office of a member of the German Parliament (Deutscher Bundestag) for fifteen weeks in Berlin.
The Award
The German parliament internship program offers young people the opportunity to get to know the German parliamentary system and political decision-making process during a 15-week work placement with a Member of the Bundestag. The International Scholarship Program is targeted to highly qualified future leaders who are interested in politics. The program is scheduled for March 1 - July 31, 2011, during which time recipients will be enrolled as students at the Humboldt University of Berlin. The scholarship covers accommodation, insurance, and travel expenses and recipients are offered a stipend of 450 euros per month.
Eligibility
Applicants must be US citizens who have earned their bachelor's degree and are under the age of 30 by the starting date of internship. A strong working knowledge of the German language is required.
