We are staffed by helpful volunteer international spouses/partners who will guide you through a wealth of information to make your life at Stanford more interesting, productive and enjoyable! Stop by and browse as often as you like and use it to:

  • Plan a trip or vacation,
  • Help with career planning and a job search,
  • Find interesting volunteer opportunities,
  • Learn about places to take your kids,
  • Find out about local universities and colleges where you can take courses or pursue a degree program.

And much, much more!! We at the Resource Center will work with you in finding information related to your interests and goals.

The colors of the rainbow represent the many categories of information contained in the Resource Center.
We hope that international families will use the full spectrum of resources and opportunities to create a colorful, satisfying, and meaningful life here in the Stanford area.

How to Use the Resource Center

You can browse and read resources in the Center or take resources to the lounge in Bechtel Center and take time to look through them.

•Borrowing Policy: Books, magazines, and videos in our lending library may be borrowed for a period of up to two weeks. They are to be returned to the Resource Center during the hours when it is open.

•Copy: For copying some information, there is a copy machine in the Overseas Resource Center on the 2nd floor(10 cents per page). Just be sure to return the borrowed resources before the Resource Center is closed.

We will help you find all the information you need, or use the computer to search the web for helpful tips. We also have a small lending library of novels and travel guides in many languages, and videos for children.

 


Location

The Resource Center is located on the street level at the Bechtel International Center. After entering the lobby, walk towards the stairway and go down the hallway to the left of the stairs.
