Before classes get too busy the I-Center and the Riddle Family Foundation invite you to join us to meet up with old and new friends at a Contra Dance. This is an American form of folk dance with roots in English, Irish, and French dance consisting of couples doing choreographed (“called”) steps together.
Don’t worry if you’ve never done Contra Dance before, we will have a free beginner lesson from 7:30 pm - 9pm which will teach you enough to have fun for the rest of the evening.
This quarter we are sponsoring a series of lunches for international graduate students to meet and talk with faculty. This is a wonderful opportunity to think about images of the future, career paths after completing formal education, what factors influence where you live and work and much more.
