Fellowship/Award Guidelines
The specific guidelines for each award should be followed when completing your online application. For summaries, complete application guidelines and contacts for each award, please click here.
Instructions for Using Online Application
You may apply for multiple awards using the H&S Online Fellowship/Award Application. There are four steps for submitting an online application.

Edit your student profile. This single profile will be used with all applications submitted with this system. Please make sure that it remains up to date.

Initiate a new application. This step should only be completed once for each fellowship/award. If you accidentally create a duplicate application, you will be able to delete the duplicate when you go to edit your applications.

Edit existing applications. Once you have initiated new GRO or fellowship applications, you will be able to go in and edit them as many times as you would like before the application deadline. There is no separate process for your final submission of the application (i.e. no “Submit” button). Once the application deadline has passed, all applications on file will be reviewed in their current status.

Send requests for recommendation letter(s). Once you have initiated your application, you can click a link on the application form to send an e-mail to your recommenders requesting a letter of support. This function will only work if you have a default e-mail client installed on your computer (i.e. Outlook, Eudora, Thunderbird, Entourage). If you do not have a default client, click on “If you do not have an e-mail client installed, click here to copy and paste recommender instructions” to get the text for the message which you will need to edit yourself.
File Format
All files should be submitted as Word (*.doc, *.docx), PDF (*.pdf), or JPG (*.jpg) files. When you update your application, you should receive an e-mail message confirming that the application was updated.
