Diversity Programs for Faculty & Staff

GRAD Diversity Day
Graduate Recruiting and Diversity Day is a diversity focused event sponsored in part by VPGE that provides outstanding diverse doctoral applicants and admits with an opportunity to visit the campus and encourage them to accept offers of admission.

Summer Research Program
The H&S Summer Research Early Identification Program (SR-EIP), principally for underserved and underrepresented students, offers undergraduates from other institutions the opportunity to work for eight weeks under the guidance of a faculty or research mentor. We are looking for Stanford Faculty interested in mentoring these students.

H&S Diversity Funding

The School of Humanities and Sciences has funds available to support department efforts to diversify the student population.

Faculty Involvement in Recruiting Diverse Graduate Students

Faculty can be great ambassadors for encouraging outstanding students to join the Stanford community. Please contact us if you know of outstanding diverse undergraduates. Further, if you are interested in learning more about how you can use your faculty networks to identify outstanding diverse undergraduates or how you can support the efforts of this office please contact Dr. Joseph Brown or Dr. Ayodele Thomas in Graduate and Undergraduate Studies. Every additional student that we identify makes a difference!
