Jennifer Bass
Hi! My name is Jen and I LOVE HumBio. I'm really looking forward to
being one of your SAs this year and helping make HumBio as awesome
for all of you as it has been for me. My concentration is
"International Public Health and Infectious Disease," but at some
point I've considered just about everything so feel free to bring
all of your questions my way! I've done research with Stanford's
Adolescent Medicine Department, with a cardiac imaging lab in my
amazing home state of Michigan, and with the Laboratory of
Infectious Disease at the National Institute of Health. I'm also
really interested in community health work which I was lucky enough
to get to explore during an incredible quarter in Cape Town, South
Africa studying health and development. I'm on the path to medical
school, but I haven't given up my interests in public health and
research. When I'm not thinking about HumBio this year I'll be
working as a kitchen manager in the Cowell Cluster, enjoying the
great outdoors, hopefully taking some art classes and otherwise
making the most of my senior year! Don't hesitate to come by for
questions, advice or just to chat. I'm really excited to meet you
all and spread my excitement about the BEST department at Stanford :)

Sara Kaiser
Hey everyone! My name is Sara, and I’m really excited to be one of your SA’s this year! I’m a senior with an Area of Concentration in Health Policy, and I did my internship with Stanford in Washington at the U.S. Senate. Next year I’ll most likely be starting law school, where I hope to focus on Healthcare Law. This year I’ll also be the Financial Manager for SlavDom, which has been my home away from home for most of my time at Stanford. My actual home is Kansas City, Missouri, and I’m still a die-hard fan of the Kansas City Chiefs! Although, I did recently learn to appreciate soccer as well while studying in France during the World Cup. I would love to talk to you about anything from studying abroad, to politics, to Human Biology of course!

Ani Kardashian
Hey everyone! My name is Ani and I’m excited to be one of your Student Advisors this year. I’m a junior from Los Angeles with an Area of Concentration in “Genetics, Biotechnology, and Disease.” Outside of the classroom, you can find me playing the violin, staffing as a Row manager, volunteering at Arbor Free Clinic, or doing research in a human population genetics lab in the School of Medicine. I am also a member of the Armenian Students Association and I have volunteered in a women’s mammography clinic in Armenia. Last year I studied abroad in Monterey at the Hopkins Marine Station and in Baja doing research in marine biology. If you have any questions about HumBio, studying abroad, doing research, volunteering, or being pre-med, stop by the SA office to chat. I look forward to working with you all this year!

Sonia Nagala
Hey everyone! My name is Sonia and I'm looking forward to working
with you! I'm originally from Oakes, North Dakota, and I'm a
senior this year. My Area of Concentration in Humbio is "Social and
Health Issues and Policy" and I'm also minoring in Music, Science, and
Technology. During the school year, I'll be doing research for my honors
thesis, which focuses on the role of music in exercise performance,
and I'll also be studying abroad in Paris during winter quarter.
Although I was pre-med throughout my first couple years at Stanford,
my future plans now include attending business school and starting a company
that combines my interests in both Humbio and music. Here on campus I
have been involved in music and cognition research, alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Sanskriti, and last year I was an HPAC in Junipero. Outside
of the classroom, you can find me composing music, training for
marathons, or hanging out with my friends. If you have any questions
about research, classes, the Humbio major, or just about anything
else, feel free to stop by my office hours to chat! You've made a
terrific decision in choosing this major, so get excited for a great
year ahead in Humbio!

Lauren Rimoin
As the biggest fan of Humbio ever, I'd like to welcome all of you to the BEST MAJOR EVER! I'm Lauren and I'm here to answer all your questions about declaring, concentrating, interning and graduating, as well as coffee addictions, late night problem set adventures, marathon study sessions and all the other ups and downs of being a Humbio major. Although I've explored many avenues of the Human Biology program, my current Area of Concentration is "Cancer and Genetic Disease," and I completed my internship in an Emergency Room in my hometown of Los Angeles. I'm a senior, and outside of the pre-med and Human Biology classes, I'm a counselor at the SHPRC, a Peer Health Educator in the Cowell Cluster, a study abroad veteran and a tutor for various Stanford programs. Come visit me in the SA office - I'm here to help!

Hey everyone! Welcome to the best major at Stanford! My name is Anna, and
I'm really excited to be working with you this year! I am currently a
Co-term student in Sociology, focusing on Inequality and Social
Stratification and am in the process of applying to Medical School. I am
really interested in Health Policy and hope to pursue those interests as a
physician. My Area of Concentration as an undergrad was "Health and Human
Performance" and I was Captain of the Women's Swim Team at Stanford as a
senior. I love being outdoors, playing sports, and going the to the beach.
I also enjoy teaching and tutoring and am currently the TA for Exercise
Physiology (which I highly recommend!!) Feel free to stop into the office
if you have any questions, need advice, or just want to chat! Good luck
