“Psychological Secrets of Generation Y-(Tweens,Teens and 20-somethings)”

 

Presenter: Kit Yarrow, PhD

Consumer research psychologist, professor of psychology and marketing at Golden Gate University and author Kit Yarrow offers insights about the unique psychology of Generation Y.  Kit will share findings from her research that go beyond the labels, accusations and accolades to a deeper understanding of the “whys” of Gen Y.

  • How the self-esteem movement, a youth-centric society, the power of the Internet & friendlier parents have shaped Gen Y expectations & attitudes
  • The Facebook Factor & The Technological Brain-How new media has influenced how Gen Y thinks, behaves & interacts
  • KGOY (kids getting older younger) or KGOL (kids getting older later)?
  • How the recession is changing Gen Y- and one major way it’s hurting them that’s NOT economic
